1/2 c warm water
2 tsp instant yeast
1/4 c butter
1/4 c sugar
1/2 c milk
1 egg, well beaten
2.5 c flour
1 tsp salt
mix water, yeast, sugar. Melt butter and mix with milk, then add. Add salt. Add flour and kneed 5-7 minutes. I often need to add a little more than the recipe calls for. the dough should be pretty soft, tacky( not sticky) and spring back when you push it in with your finger. let rise in covered greased bowl for 30 minutes. Shape rolls and let double in size. bake for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees.
